Charles F. Staggs

Charles F. Staggs, 97, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. He was born on December 7, 1928.

Charles proudly served in the Army and worked at Colonial Bakery. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, football, and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elsie Staggs, his wife Genesse Staggs, his children Terry, Teresa, and Tony, his brothers Gene, Joe, Edgar, Ancil, Perry, and Jack, his sisters Charlene and Becky, and his great-granddaughter Skyleigh.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Trudy Atchley (Rick) of Gaston, Indiana. He was a loving grandfather to Tammy, Heidi (Ryan), Tonya (Pat), and Ricky, great-grandchildren; Alonna, Brock, Trayton, Lucas, Jacob, Rj, Ezra, Ethan, Hayley, Layton, Lane, Wesley, and Keegan, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their family members, caregivers, and doctors for their compassion and care during this time. A special thank you to his granddaughter Tammy, who provided devoted care and support.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00.
