Charles David Smith

Charles David Smith, 65, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on January 25, 2026, after an extended illness. 

He was born on August 28, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana, to Charles and Linda Smith.

Charles had a lifelong passion for cars and racing. He especially enjoyed attending car shows with his beloved Oldsmobile and spending time at shows alongside his son. He took great pride in his 1986 truck and had a deep appreciation for Chevelles and Monte Carlos. Charles was an avid fan of NASCAR and drag racing, interests that brought him joy and connected him with many lifelong friends.

Charles is survived by his son, Charles Smith III; his sister, Pamela Smith; several cousins; and many dear friends from the car show community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Debra Sue Smith; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Charles will be remembered on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Parson Mortuary. The visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Elm Ridge will follow the visitation.
